ago I bought a dozen days a television. WHAT? You do not have a TV?! To confess all my move I have not even held three months before bursting. (2 months and 17 days) Not even expected to find a solution to retrieve my little tv as a student, taken hostage in the family cottage Traussois (name of village that has won many atrocious puns ...). Completely lost without television, I am now well advanced with programs lackluster, I finally did watch the lights for pub. But I digress from my subject ... TV Philips LED Econova. No, this is not the model I bought but it was awarded the European Green EV 2010-2011, by the European Imaging & Sound Association. This TV is indeed supposed to have been designed to preserve the environment without sacrificing performance. And according to EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association), the Econova LCD TV would be the greenest in Europe. What to look on the screen.
Let us study the ecological characteristics of the TV:
Consumption
- Thanks to latest LED technology (which allows more high quality image) this TV in standard mode consumes 58W, 40W in eco fashion (60% lower than a TV equivalent), and 0.09 W in standby mode.
- Zero Power switch to 0W reducing consumption when the TV is off
- Remote solar
Materials
- Packaging 100% recyclable as paper and cardboard made up (without pads or polystyrene plastic bags)
- Made from recycled materials and easily recyclable (no PVC or flame retardants brominated)
- Screen and frame made from recycled aluminum and 60%
- Manual in electronic
Nice challenge for Philips. But let us not be completely fooled, please.
A switch that reduces consumption 0W when TV is off ... but this super switch Power Zero would it not the famous button that are never used because it is on TV is that we too lazy stand up? Where is the revolution? AAAH if the button is on the remote! Too bad the slogan "Move over" of our government.
On standby mode, an EU directive EuP since 2010 requires manufacturers of electrical and electronic products to limit consumption to 1 or 2 eves W Max and 2013 figures are down between 0.5 and 1 W max. 0.09 W good so it's a good note.
Then why a manual mail? Already it's not necessarily obvious to install a TV, if in addition we must have fun to download a document and then read it on a computer that is perhaps not in the same room as our TV ... what print the record ourselves. The economy is the manufacturer and really for the planet ...
Finally, do all these innovations to prevent the TV full of arsenic, lead, cadmium ...?
But little talk, speak well. I have for you a product which, like this TV, do not consume more than a bulb. It's not TV but I still wanted to tell you: the computer ALT . It requires all the attention because it is really green and responsible. The start-up Bordeaux meta- it has designed an entirely eco-computer and definitely responds to issues of sustainable development.
A completely redesigned PC: construction, energy consumption and server network were carefully designed to be as responsible as possible, but also for a longer life.
Single, integrated whole, completely silent, with a power of 20 W against 107 W average for a similar post, and designed using recyclable materials "Made in France" (made in Aquitaine where possible). No need to fan through the aluminum which protects parts that heat. Only 12 pieces cons about 80 for a PC: no welding, no glue, nothing is chemically treated and everything even recycles the screen (usually a big problem). The parts are assembled in France in Talence (33) and Bidart (64) All the software will be installed from the server that can quench all the remote stations at a given time. This is a partial list, I invite you to discover their websites: http:// meta- it.fr and http://alt. meta- it.fr (the latest revision but they are still available).
An analysis of the life cycle of the product will be available soon, what will be a first for a computer. No wrapping or packaging to the chagrin of marketers: just a trunk, reusable. Finally, uncommon practice, enterprise customers will be able to burn their logo on the machine.

I wish them a media buzz sweeps over France, Europe, the world (no exaggeration, remain modest)!
A note for those concerned that these computers are not for individuals. These are business computers whose total cost is optimized network.
